Youth Dancers Help Celebrate 100 Years of Mormon Presence in Lethbridge

More than 400 youth from three stakes participated in a dance event on November 14 to celebrate 100 years of the Church in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. The two performances of the event attracted more than 5,000 people from the community to the Enmax Centre, including the mayor and other civic leaders.

Philippines Visit by Elder Cook Boosts Members

Elder Quentin L. Cook visited the Philippines to conduct a priesthood leadership conference and preside over a mission presidents seminar on November 12–16. A special devotional for young single adults in the Cebu City area held on November 13 kicked off Elder Cook's activities for the following days.

LDS Youths Organize Book Drive to Benefit Children's Hospital

More than 450 books for children were recently donated to the A.I. duPont Pediatric Clinic for its "Reach Out and Read" program, which promotes literacy as part of pediatric care. The donations were the result of a book drive spearheaded by three siblings, patients of the clinic, who wanted to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff.

For the past 30 years, Church-service missionaries have provided needed work in a variety of positions across the globe, blessing their lives and the Church worldwide. "I don't know why more people don't serve," said Sister Linda Gentry of the River Oaks 3rd Ward, West Jordan Utah River Oaks Stake, who has been a Church-service missionary for more than two years.
